Currently, the R.I.S.C. Assessment is completely free. All that’s required is to be 18 or older and an hour of your time.
When it comes to keeping people safe, there is no “one size fits all” solution. Each one of us is a unique individual, possessing different strengths, opinions, skills, and experiences.
Most safety surveys are used to identify problems, improve current programs, and measure operational effectiveness within an organization, and this survey is no different. The R.I.S.C. Assessment stands out because it was made for you, is about you, and is designed to give you information you can use to improve your quality of life.
Upon completion, a R.I.S.C. level will be generated for each of the 24 categories measured in the Assessment to inform participants of their chances of experiencing an accident or injury. Each person will then receive a detailed description of each category, an explanation of their R.I.S.C. levels, and realistic strategies to avoid accidents.
The R.I.S.C. Assessment is broken down into three simple steps. First, each participant will receive beneficial information to help clarify the assessment process and its purpose. Next, the participants will select an answer for each observation presented to them. Finally, the participant’s results will be presented in both written and video form for them to review. The entire process is designed to be completed in 1 hour. It uses key strategies to help each participant understand, remember, and recall the information they will need to avoid experiencing an accident or injury.
A person’s safety is best managed by themselves. The R.I.S.C. Assessment was specifically designed to empower each participant with the necessary information to successfully achieve this goal, both in the workplace and at home. It doesn’t matter what your profession is or how you feel about safety. The information provided is simple and relatable, making these concepts easy to understand and use. In addition, the R.I.S.C. Assessment can be retaken periodically to show where a person’s risk of suffering an accident or injury has changed as their life progresses.
Many of us desire to live a long life. We want to experience the world we live in, explore our curiosities, and enjoy time with our family and friends. Many safety professionals would tell you that this is the primary goal of preserving our health and safety, but this still doesn’t explain why this is so important. Throughout history, people have said that life seems to fly by, and that moments are gone in the blink of an eye. We can’t stop the passage of time, and opportunities we once had will never present themselves in the same way. THIS is why health and safety is so important; it preserves time and opportunity, the two things that we can never get back but that we all wish we could once they are gone. By investing a little bit of time up front to do things safely, we can not only avoid injuries that take much more time to recover from, but we can also use that time to accomplish other goals, give back to our communities, and enjoy our lives.
